Communicative English Course

A unique addition to the College is Communicative English Course (Major) of 800 marks at per with Honours. This is a Calcutta University Three year Degree Course (Major). The students have to sit for university examination IA (at the end of the first year). IB (at the end of second year) and third year consists of On the Job Training, Teacher’s Training (four weeks), a Project and paper on Entrepreneurship.

This College has a complete Language Laboratory where students learn not only Spoken English but also comparing on television and radio. With eminent guest lecturers from different fields, efficient teachers of the Department of English, teachers from Commerce Department and with all the teaching equipment like television, tape recorder, O.H.P., VCD, VCP, Microphones and glass cubicles, this course is different in all respects from other general course. Students can use the Seminar Library meant for them and computer is also installed for this course.

This course has produced students who are successfully working in different companies, organizations and television channels.

This course prepares the candidates to face 21st century employment market with confidence.
