ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES:

BACHELOR OF DIVINITY (B.D)

1. A candidate shall be a graduate of Arts, Science or Commerce or equivalent of any recognized University and have passed the Entrance Examination conducted by the College.

 OR

2. A candidate shall be a holder of the B. Th. Degree of Serampore College and have passed the Entrance Examination conducted by the College.

 OR

3. A person who qualifies under the ‘Mature Candidate’ or Qualifying Examination of the B.Th Graduates from ATA or other Seminaries other than SeramporeCollege (University) conducted under the rules of the Senate of Serampore College and has passed the Entrance Examination conducted by the College.

 How to apply?: A candidate is required to obtain (Click here to download the BD Application Form) applications forms. The application form duly filled in along with all the required documents must be send (through Registry/ Speed Post) to:

The application form must reach to the address as per the date and time notified in the Notice board of the Website. Also, all applicants will be notified or informed through their personal email and the college website.

 All the Applications will go through a process of screening after which the eligible candidates will be called to write an entrance examination as per notification at Serampore College and after which each candidate will be called for an interview. The candidates will be selected by the faculty on the basis of performance in the entrance examination, personal interview, scholarship and recommendation by the sponsoring Church/Organization authority.

Selected candidates of the Entrance examination and interview will be announce on the day of Interview.

Selected candidates are required to go through an orientation programme of one month known as ‘Summer School’ just ahead of the normal academic routine. Summer School usually begin from the second week of May every year and run till the second week of June. All selected candidates are expected to attend the said programme.
